We’re Wild About Books!

Wild About Books is an organization dedicated to the proposition that all men (and women!) are created equal, and should have equal opportunity to bask in the glorious, undiscovered treasures found throughout the vast and magical realm of literacy. Also, we love books. Through programs like our Central Valley Young Writer’s Prize – an annual contest we started two years ago for children grades 3-12 to enter their original works in the areas of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and illustration – the successful launch of our new Spring Writers Conference – a weekend of writing and publishing workshops, panels, and one-on-one intensives with published authors – and the upcoming Creative Writing Mentorship program we’re heading up with the Young Writers Conference, A Book Barn, and The Normal School at CSUF, aimed at 5-12 graders who want to pursue their skills in writing but don’t have the outlet in school anymore due to government budget cuts – we hope to promote literacy awareness and accessibility throughout the community and California’s Central Valley.
